Tofino RCMP investigate fatal air crash near Long Beach Airport 

Two people have died after a six-seat aircraft crashed due to an engine fire during take-off from Long Beach Airport near Tofino. 

RCMP says information is limited by they’re working with the Transportation Safety Board and the BC Coroners Service to determine the cause of the incident.  

They say one person was pulled from the plane and was sent to hospital with serious injuries, but sadly the other two died at the scene.
