A local charity that made a mistake is hoping to have it corrected.
The Lake Trail Community Education Society is looking to locate a wood pile which was mistakenly left in an unlocked area.
The group runs free after school and food programs for the community, with members growing food in a garden and running a salad bar and snack program for students throughout the year.
Volunteers fundraised throughout the year to build new garden beds for the food program and had students at the school cut and design all the wood needed.
Around $800 of the wood was accidentally left outside the school’s lock up and is now missing.
The pile looked like old wood after being treated with a product to make it look more aged.
The group thinks someone grabbed it thinking it was a free pile and is hoping it will be returned as they do not have the money to replace it.
