New transportation grants open for B.C. communities

Communities across the province are being invited to support better transportation for their members. 

The B.C. Active Transportation Infrastructure Grant program opened for 2024-25 on September 3, meant for governments to support projects to promote cleaner and healthier travel in communities. 

$20 million is available in total for active transportation network planning and infrastructure projects. 

The grant program supports the governments CleanBC roadmap to 2030 goals, which is aimed at reducing carbon pollution from transportation while increasing sustainable travel. 

The program intake will remain open until October 31, 2024.
