Village of Cumberland to hold two voting days ahead of by-election

As a by-election is on the way, the Village of Cumberland has announced two advance votes.

According to the Village, the by-election will replace Councillor Jesse Ketler, who announced in June she was stepping down.

They say by voting in municipal elections, it gives young people a chance to be represented in decision-making and to make a difference in their community.

While the general voting day is set for September 21, the Village is holding two days for you to vote in advance.

The first will take place in the Village Council Chamber tomorrow, September 11, open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The second day will also be in the council chamber, taking place on September 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

For the general voting day, it’ll be taking place at the Cultural Centre Buchanan Mall, also running from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
