Operation HighJump returns to Courtenay on Friday

An annual event for athletes with diverse abilities is returning to Courtenay this Friday.

Called Operation HighJump, it’s an event where adult athletes with disabilities take part in track and field events, including sprints, Frisbee toss, and long jump. This year marks 29 years since the first event was held.

The City says along with the activities, the event will have lunch provided by the Kiwanis Club.

They ask the athletes to pre-register by the morning of the event through here.
