This week is National Breastfeeding Week, and Campbell River moms are taking action.
New mom Shay-Lynn Whittaker and some friends organized a safe place for breastfeeding mothers, and want to encourage other moms to help normalize breastfeeding.
Whittaker says this is an opportunity to not only support one another, but make friends.
Whittaker adds you don’t have to be a nursing mother to participate, just anyone who has breastfed, or supports breastfeeding.
