Many customers of major cell service providers reported issues with mobile service issues around the Comox Valley.
Customers of Fido, Rogers, and TELUS took to private Facebook groups in the morning of September 24 to complain about phone services being down, limiting access to cellular data, texting, and phone calling.
Despite the reports, none of the providers have given updates saying there are connection issues but have been responding to people’s claims about issues via X.
According to Downdetector, Rogers had received nearly 130 claims around 9:30 a.m. about issues with their phones.
Fido customers have sent in an additional 27 reports, and TELUS customers sent in 10 reports of bad service.
A few additional issues have been reported across Vancouver Island, including Campbell River and Nanaimo.
