98.9 Jet FM/My Comox Valley Now is reaching out to all of the candidates in the October 19 provincial election to ask for their positions on the major issues.
The BC Green Party Courtenay/Comox candidate Arzeena Hamir said things like the healthcare and school system’s need to change, as well as the amount of people living on the streets of Cliffe Avenue.
Hamir said preventing people from ending up on the streets starts in the school system with giving people the support they need early.
“Teaching I think is no longer one adult in a room of 25 students, we need multiple adults supporting the learning so that everybody has access to really high-quality education.”
