Several communities have no Internet access this morning on parts of Vancouver Island because of outages.
According to CityWest, an Internet service provider, there have been Internet outages on Hornby, Denman, and Cortes Islands since Thursday afternoon.
After investigating, they say the outages were caused by damage to their network near Vancouver.

Crews found the source of damage to the network on Friday and started repairs, with plans to come back to the site again today to continue their work.
They hope to restore the internet by 2:00 p.m. today.
