Federal Liberals tap ex-Ontario premier’s top advisor to run election campaign

With rumours of a possible winter election swirling around Ottawa, the federal Liberal Party announced Sunday that it has selected a new campaign director.

In a statement published Sunday morning, the party announced that Andrew Bevan will serve as Campaign Director and Marjorie Michel will serve as the Deputy Campaign Director for the next federal election campaign.

Bevan has worked as the senior advisor to the prime minister, and before that he was Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Chief of Staff until 2018.

Michel is currently the deputy chief of staff for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and according to the statement, has deep roots in Quebec as a political organizer.
