Mount Washington is getting its first major snowfall of the season today, as heavy storms and an atmospheric river hit Vancouver Island.
Live webcams on the mountain today show near-whiteout conditions in the alpine section, and the white stuff is also piling up at the Raven Lodge and Nordic area.
Crews and volunteers just finished grooming the runs and trails earlier this month.
It remains to be seen how much will stick around, but more snow and colder temperatures are on the way for the mountain on Monday.

The official opening day for skiing and snowboarding is December 13. However, the mountain has opened early in the past after La Nina weather systems provided an unexpected bounty of powder.
