The Town of Comox is looking to prevent flooding on roads this weekend.
The first seasonal storm is underway, and the Town is asking the public to clear leaves and debris from storm drains to mitigate flooding potential.
Additionally, people are asked to not blow leaves onto roadways to reduce the risk of leaves piling up on storm drains which can cause street flooding.
The Town has limited staff on hand and not enough equipment for a quick cleanup if multiple streets start to flood.

The first seasonal storm started early Friday morning, and is expected to last until Sunday, with heavy rain and wind expected throughout the weekend.
