Halloween is coming soon, and you can experience ghouls and snowmen in a Haunted House this week.
The LINC Youth Centre is bringing back their Haunted House event this year, with the theme being a Haunted Christmas. The theme will see over 15 local youth between the ages of 8 and 18 play as ghouls, carolers, snowmen, and elves.
The City of Courtenay says the youth have been preparing for the event since last month, not only playing the characters, but also in choosing the theme and designing the set and props.
Community Youth Supervisor for LINC Kelsey Smith says the event will have spooky yuletide scenes.
“Many ghouls return year after year, but we also have some new faces this year throwing their ideas and creativity into the mix,” said Smith.
The City says admission is two dollars per person and five dollars per family.
The house will run in the youth centre on 300 Old Island Highway from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday this week, as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week. For this Friday and Saturday, the house runs from 6 to 9 p.m.
Because wait times can vary, they encourage you to play games like ping pong and air hockey and have Halloween treats in the Centre while waiting.
The house opens this Thursday.
