The City of Courtenay has launched its Engagement Framework survey to improve feedback on projects or other engagement with the city.
It focuses on understanding the potential barriers that might prevent people from participating in giving feedback on a local project or other opportunities to engage with the city.
These barriers include inconvenient scheduling, lack of awareness, childcare and transportation needs, or a lack of trust in the process.
Director of Corporate Services for the city Kate O’Connell says the survey is about ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
“We want to understand what challenges people face in participating and find ways to overcome them,” said O’Connell.
“This will help us make decisions and provide services that truly reflect the needs of everyone.”
They say this survey is open to everyone, with hopes the survey can help their engagement framework, which is set to be ready by early next year.
You have until November 18 to fill in the survey, and it can be found here.
