Despite some recent rain, no decisions have been made on lifting the region’s campfire ban.
Coastal Fire Centre Fire Information Officer Marg Drysdale says the fire hazard is pegged at low in parts of the region, but will likely jump again with warm, dry weather.
Drysdale says some areas in the region have already been bumped up to a moderate fire rating.
