Comox Valley RCMP seek missing man last heard from on December 9

RCMP in the Comox Valley are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

76-year-old Wayne Jardine was last heard from on December 9, after contacting a family member around 5:45 p.m. saying his vehicle broke down around Cumberland Road and Royston Road in Courtenay.

According to the family member, he sounded disoriented and may have required medical attention and not likely dressed correctly for cold weather conditions.

A deeper investigation by the RCMP revealed Jardine has not been seen since the evening of December 8 and he is believed to have a dead cellphone.
