Animal control kenneling services will be at a new location starting in 2025.
That’s from the BC SPCA, announcing they will no longer provide animal control kenneling to the Comox Valley as of January 1.
Along with this change, they say that support for dog licensing, helping with stray animals, and concerns about dangerous or noisy pets will also stop in the new year.
In the meantime, they can still help with accepting surrendered animals by appointment, adopting animals, emergency outreach support, and any concerns about abuse or cruelty to animals.
BC SPCA says for those needing help with a stray animal, they can go to Unleashed Dog Boutique, which is set to be the new kenneling location in the Valley.
It’s located at 1970 Anderton Road in Comox and will be the new location starting January 1.
