New software is being installed at waste management centres in both the Comox Valley and Campbell River.
Comox Strathcona Waste Management says new scale software will be used by the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre and Campbell River Waste Management Centre. The goal is to improve system functionality for both centres.
The update will take place before its opening, with staff trained on the new system to reduce delays.
In the meantime, they say the landfill will remain open during regular hours. The software will be implemented starting January 7.
