Organizations needing some funding can now apply for it through a Cumberland program.
The Village says applications are open for their Community Grant Program, which provides a minimum of $2,000 in funding to support projects that provide important services to the community.
This includes social, cultural, recreational, and environmental services.
They say applications must be for projects that focus on these important objectives.
“Meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, socio-economic diversity and inclusion, including food security and accessibility, thriving community arts, culture and recreation, multi-modal transportation, including active travel, and effective response to climate change, including reduction in greenhouse gases,” said the Village.
To be eligible for the funding, your organization needs to be a not-for-profit, provide services to the residents, and to demonstrate a financial need.
Applications are open until February 24 at 10:00 a.m.
