A vehicle crash left one person injured at a fast-food restaurant in Courtenay.
The incident took place Sunday afternoon, when a vehicle drove through the window of Fatburger Express on Ryan Road, injuring a person inside.
Comox Valley RCMP say the injuries were not life threatening, and neither the 89-year-old driver nor the passenger was hurt.
Constable Monika Terragni says the vehicle would undergo a mechanical inspection to find out if its mechanical condition played a part in the incident.
“Police will be requesting a review of the driver’s medical fitness,” said Terragni. “Investigators will determine if any charges are appropriate after a full examination of all the evidence available.”
They say they’re grateful no one got seriously hurt from the crash.
