Five warming centres opening tonight in Comox Valley

Five warming centres are opening tonight in the Comox Valley.

The Comox Valley Regional District is activating these centres in response to the overnight lows in the forecast, with a low of minus five degrees set for Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Hornby Island, and Denman Island.

They say you will have access to seating, snacks, washrooms, security, and cleaning services.

Leashed or crated pets are welcome, but the district adds you should verify with the service provider on site.
