BC Transit issues alerts for three Comox Valley Routes today

BC Transit has issued alerts for three Comox Valley bus routes starting today.

Transit says four alerts were issued in the early morning, saying Route 1 and Route 4 will not have any service, while Route 3 sees changes due to road construction.

For Route 1 Comox Mall/Anfield Centre via North Island College, there have been no buses since 5:50 a.m., with the last ride affected being the one to Comox Mall at 1:17 p.m today.

On Tuesday, there will also be no buses available on Route 1 from 5:50 a.m. to 8:47 a.m.

Route 4 Driftwood Mall/Comox Mall via Comox Road gets no service from 11:55 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., according to BC Transit.

They say because of road construction on Beaufort Avenue, Beaufort at Church, Beaufort at Wilcox, and Beaufort at Nordin will be closed for the next eight days.

This affects the bus stops at Beaufort at Church at 3:08 p.m., Beaufort at Wilcox at 3:09 p.m. and Beaufort at Nordin at 3:09 p.m. for Route 3 Comox Local.

BC Transit apologizes for the inconvenience.
