Comox Road to have one-way traffic due to pipe construction this month

A reminder that crews will start construction on Comox Road this month.

Comox Valley Regional District crews will install a sewer forcemain pipe for the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project, an ongoing initiative focused on replacing the pipes and upgrading the pump stations that move over 14,000 cubic meters of raw sewage a day to the treatment plant on Brent Road.

The City of Courtenay is reminding you that because of the work, Comox Road will have one-way traffic.

Traffic will be moving west from Comox to Courtenay from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the work zone will be closed to all traffic Mondays to Saturdays. Emergency vehicles will be provided access through the road.
