The Comox Valley Airport Commission (CVAC) have announced a new member serving the governance committee.
Jeff West has been appointed to the board for a three year-term which started on January 15.
Board Chair Bill Anglin said Jeff’s leadership and insight will help guide YQQ through an exciting period of growth.
“His extensive experience in airport operations, transportation planning, and community-focused development will be invaluable as we explore how best to expand and evolve to meet the needs of our growing region.”
West is Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North and served as Regional Director for BC Ferries for 11 years.
He also served in leadership positions at YVR for 17 years, helping play a key role in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics as Venue General Manager.
West also has experience in the Comox Valley as a business owner of an electrical contracting business.
