Fire departments in communities around Vancouver Island are getting additional funding from the province for training and new equipment.
The funding is through the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund, and is aimed at fire departments that are wholly or partially staffed by volunteers. In total, Island fire departments will receive more than $2.1 million (2,133,573).
North Island
