Intersection of Beaufort Ave & Port Augusta St to close starting Monday

For two days, a Comox intersection will be closed due to road construction.

That’s according to the Comox Valley Regional District, saying crews will be performing work on the intersection of Beaufort Avenue and Port Augusta Street as part of the Sewer Conveyance Project.

Because of the work, it won’t be possible for you to travel through that intersection, with access restricted to only local residents and businesses in the affected area.

The district says for those living in 137 Port Augusta, Harbour Authority staff, Blackfin Pub visitors, and clients for the offices at 1757 Beaufort Avenue, you should travel via Nordin Street.

If you’re heading to Comox Marina Park, make sure to use the parking lots accessed via Wilcox Street.

While crews work, make sure to plan your routes, avoid the intersection, obey detour signs, and be ready for longer travel time.

Closure runs from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday next week.
