The Comox Community Centre has new and improved saunas for their changing rooms.
The Town has announced renovations have been completed to the dry infrared saunas, after the previous ones had reached the end of their lifespan.
Comox Mayor Nicole Minions said they are inviting the public to test them out as part of their health and fitness routines.
“The saunas have been a valuable amenity at the Comox Community Centre for decades and we’re thrilled to provide these upgraded spaces for relaxation and wellness.”
The saunas have slightly increased in size with a more modern design including new floor tiles, cedar wood benches, and infrared heating technology.
The saunas are open during facility hours and can be used with a drop-in admission or a valid membership.
People are also encouraged to bring a towel to sit on while using the sauna for everyone’s hygiene and comfort.
