The Town of Comox has announced a planned removal of a tree at Filberg Park.
A recent inspection revealed decay in the lower trunk of one of the trees, forcing the removal of it to ensure public safety.
The removal work will be on Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 and visitors will be rerouted to Filberg Road, Gates 2 and 3.
Pedestrians are being asked to follow the signage in the work zone and directions from staff on site.
To maintain the tree canopy and natural beauty in the park, the parks department has planted three garry oaks trees in its place.
