A recent donation of parkland has been recognized by the Comox Valley Regional District.
Earlier this month, the district received 4.51 acres of land adjacent to Maris Natural Park, with the donation part of a long-term vision for the park.

To celebrate the donation, the district says they held an acknowledgment and plaque reveal event on Thursday last week, with Electoral Area C Director Edwin Grieve saying the event marked an important addition to the Valley’s Park system.
“We would like to thank Resolute North Holdings Ltd for their generous donation and look forward to preserving the land for generations to come,” said Grieve.
With staff working on the management planning process for the park, you’re asked to not access the land at this time.
A public survey on the project is set to launch in late-April this year.
