Three people are lucky to have walked away with no injuries following an RV fire on Wednesday.
An initial investigation shows the fire started at an RV off Bates Road on Wednesday, spreading to two nearby houses.
Oyster River Fire Rescue Chief Bruce Green said two residents were inside the RV and were able to escape unscathed, along with one person in one of the nearby houses which caught fire.
“The RV is a total loss, one house suffered substantial damage and is probably a total loss, while the other house has fire damage and a broken window.”
Crews from Oyster River Fire Rescue, Comox Fire Rescue, BCEHS, RCMP, Comox Valley Emergency Program, and BC Hydro attended, with crews on sight for eight hours.
Oyster River Fire Rescue are continuing their investigation to determine how the fire started.
