It’s official, BC Ferries new cable ferry, the Baynes Sound Connector, has arrived at Buckley Bay, and will soon be doing trial runs for service in October.
That from Mark Wilson, the Vice President of Engineering at BC Ferries…who says the new vessel was towed to the terminal by Seaspan tugs.
As for when it will go into service…
Wilson says despite community concerns on the vessel’s operational capability for what will be the longest cable ferry in the world, he is confident there will be no issues with reliability.
