Easter Promenade set for Lewis Park stage Saturday

To celebrate Easter, the City of Courtenay is holding an event for families this Saturday.

Called the Easter Promenade, it’s an event that will provide activities and games for children between the ages of one and six.

This includes an egg hunt, crafts, bean bag toss, bowling, movement activities, chalk play, bubbles, and hula hoops.

The city says for the egg hunt, kids will be given a sheet to mark the number of each type of egg or item they find, with those who finish their sheets getting gift bags.

Along with the games, the Easter Bunny will be available for photos and giving mini-chocolate eggs.

Fees are $10 per family if registering in advance, or $15 if dropping-in the day of the event.

To register, you can either call 250-338-5371 or 250-338-1000 or register online.

The event is running at the Lewis Park Stage from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
