Section of Lazo Road to close for two months due to construction

For the next two months, a section of Lazo Road will be closed to all except for local residents.

The Comox Valley Regional District says the change is because of construction for the Sewer Conveyance Project, closing Lazo Road from Sandcliff Drive to Torrence Road. Crews will work Mondays to Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

They say the work area will be fenced at the end of each construction workday, with signs and detour routes to be in place.

You are asked to plan your routes in advance, be ready for extra travel time, and to take the detour routes via Guthrie, Torrence, and Lazo Roads in the meantime.

Construction will run from April 28 to June 13.
