Comox Valley Farmers’ Market coming to Comox Community Centre this summer

The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market will have a third location this summer.

The Town of Comox announced the Farmers’ Market will be held Wednesdays in the summer at the Comox Community Centre field.

Comox Valley Farmers’ Market Association General Manager said they’re very excited to expand into Comox to bring fresh, locally produced goods.

“This market is about much more than just food, it’s about supporting our farmers and fishers, building community, and increasing accessibility.”

The new location in Comox becomes the third location across the Comox Valley, joining the year-round Saturday market in Courtenay and the Sunday market in Cumberland.

The Farmers’ Market team and the Town of Comox are working together to finalize details about parking and a weather contingency plan.

Comox Mayor Nicole Minions said they’re excited to welcome the market to the summer season in Comox.

“It supports food security, and our commitment to sustainability and healthy living activities for all ages.”

The market first arrives Wednesday, June 25, running weekly until August 27 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
