A section of the Lewis Park walkway behind the tennis courts in Courtenay is being closed for repairs and maintenance of the retaining wall/dyke wall along the river. The closure begins today (Wednesday, October 7th) and is expected to last for about 6 weeks.
During the closure, Lewis Park walkway users will need to detour around the tennis courts and horseshoe pits; keep in mind the detour is on grass, not paved, and sturdy, so waterproof footwear may be required.
