North Island College students will now have the chance to travel the world and help different communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America, thanks to a new partnership with Uniterra, a program funded by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.
NIC spokesperson Christianna Wiens says this is a great opportunity for students at the college that will help them expand their world knowledge.
Wiens says this has been in the works for a while.
She says it’s very easy for students to get involved.
