Work on the North Island Hospitals Project will move into high gear in 2016.
Chief Project Officer Tom Sparrow says next year will mark the start of a lot of the interior work.
Sparrow says planning the staff transition will also be taking place.
The facilities are scheduled to be up and running in the fall of 2017.
