The Better Business Bureau is reminding residents to be vigilant for scammers in 2016.
The BBB has compiled a list of the top 10 scams of 2015.
CEO Rosalind Scott says be cautious of any unsolicited contact.
Scott says you should also be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from an official organization demanding payment or asking that you make a decision immediately.
