Courtenay council member Ronna Rae Leonard is giving federal politics another try, as she’s declared that she will be running for the NDP party in the newly formed Courtenay-Alberni riding.
Councilor Leonard says her message is that of change.
Leonard ran for the NDP in the 2011 election, losing to incumbent John Duncan by just under two thousand votes.
The federal election is expected to take place on October 15th, 2015.
