The Comox Valley School District’s Critical Incident Team is providing support to students at G.P Vanier following Tuesday’s lock down.
The school was put into lock down following a threat made on social media.
District Principal of Health and Safety, Paul Berry says the emergency protocol was implemented and everything went according to plan.
Berry says additional counselors are on site today to help any students who may need to talk about what happened.

He notes that the school district must assume that threats are real until proved otherwise.
Four students were taken into custody at the scene and another was brought in later for questioning.
Local RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
