The Coastal Fire Centre is asking people to keep an eye out for smoke, following last week’s lightning on the coast.
Fire information officer Marg Drysdale says they are expecting to see lightning fires pop up as the weather dries out later this week.
The CFC is also asking campers to be cautious, as the rain we received on the weekend was isolated and the underbrush will dry out quickly once the warm weather returns.
