Crews from 442 Squadron from 19 Wing Comox were called out to help following a plane crash north of Anahim Lake. The call came in Monday morning.
The Dehavilland Beaver, with five people on board was located 80 kilometres northeast of Anahim Lake.
One person was deceased – the other four were extracted from the crash and transported to hospital.
A Buffalo, Cormorant and five SAR techs were involved, providing support to local search and rescue personnel. No word at this time what caused the crash.
