Environment Canada is warning people to brace for a series of storms that will begin to hit the coast overnight tonight.
Armel Castellan with Environment Canada says they are expecting to see three storms hit the coast in quick succession between now and Sunday.
He says storms hitting back-to-back can lead to different problems.
Castellan says they are expecting some areas of the North Island to get up to 200 millimetres of rain by Sunday, depending on how the storm tracks across the Island.
