Another day in the valley for riders on the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock, as they rolled into the parking lot at the Thrifty’s store on England avenue to check in with residents, and shave a few heads.
Local rider Colleen Henry saw her son Ashton get his locks lopped off. Ashton told Goat news that he had already been fundraising, and he wanted to give back to his community.
Ashton raised $545 for the tour, and of course, mom was very proud.
It looks like other Comox Valley residents were just as generous as Ashton, as some serious cash was raised at a pair of fundraisers around the valley Wednesday night. Early estimates are in, and local rider Auxiliary Constable Chris Kippel told Goat news it looks like over $35,000 was raised.
