International tourism in BC is up this year.
Numbers released by the province show nearly half-a-million more international visitors came to British Columbia in the first 9 months of this year, compared to last year.
Minister of Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training Shirley Bond says there’s a couple of factors that are leading to the growth.
She says for August and September, Air China had introduced three flights per week from China to Vancouver, which Bond says made a big difference in the number of visitors that came to BC.

Bond says they are hoping the tourism numbers stay strong as we head into ski season.
