Cumberland Mayor Leslie Baird has revealed that she will seek re-election for Mayor when municipalities hit the polls in the upcoming November 15th election.
Baird says it’s been a busy first term, but she’s not ready to slow down, listing off the various issues she’d like to take on if re-elected.
Other projects Baird has her eye on include redoing the zoning bylaw for the Village, and some possible projects coming to main street.
Baird was first elected to Cumberland council in 1990, serving every term until 2011, when she ran unopposed for Mayor. Before her career on council, Baird was a long term care aide for 18 years.

No other candidates have stepped forward in the Cumberland mayoral race so far.
