The SPCA is getting help from the province for their four legged friends.
The province is giving $5-million to the organization to replace and renovate aging shelters, as outlined in their Facilities Development and Services Plan.
CEO of the BC SPCA Craig Daniell says the renovation work won’t affect any of the animals.
Daniell says work is planned for the Campbell River SPCA location.
