British Columbia tourism is putting the spotlight on the Comox Valley.
The region has received $250,000 from the province to go towards promoting the local tourism sector.
Comox Mayor Paul Ives says the industry is a great economic driver for the Valley.
“For the Comox Valley, it’s really important for us to be able to promote many of the attractions here…and really getting the message out there to people on the lower mainland that the Comox Valley is a great place to visit”, Ives says.

Ives says the investment will go towards some noteworthy events in the region, such as the BC Shellfish Festival, Comox Valley WinterFest, and to promote a future cycling festival in the Valley.
