It was an emotional and important day at 19 Wing Comox as members of the Royal Canadian Air Force bid farewell to friends and family. Members of 407 Squadron departed for Operation IMPACT, the Canadian Air Force’s support to the Middle East Stabilization Force in the fight against ISIL.
Goat News visited 19 Wing, and spoke with Base Commander Colonel Tom Dunne.
Dunne also expanded on 407 and Canada’s contribution to the mission.
Colonel Dunne says that the current crew’s mission will last about 2 months.
