CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-A wind warning is in effect. The warning is for the east coast of Vancouver Island from Campbell River down to Nanoose Bay.
A Pacific weather system will spread the strong winds starting tomorrow morning. Environment Canada says you can expect gusts of up to 90 km/h in exposed, coastal areas. The winds will ease up later in the afternoon as the system moves further inland.
Environment Canada says the winds will be strong enough to cause damage, such as tossing around loose objects or breaking tree branches. The My Campbell River Now newsroom is monitoring the system and will keep you updated.
